Gearing Up for Common Core in the Art Room

Georgia is "unpacking" the Common Core standards this year.  While there are no specific CCS for Visual Arts, there are 12 anchor standards about Literacy and Math which I will use to drive instruction in my classroom. I'm going to post some of my strategies. . .But, in the meantime, here is re-post of the mini-posters with CCS vocabulary -as it relates to Art- for you. I printed, laminated, and plan to hang them in my classroom.

The 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Math Common Core vocabulary has a lot of overlaps. So, rather than separate the vocabulary according to grade, I assimilated them as one Middle School group.
