The name of the little bird in my previous posting came from the name a very sick little boy gave his beloved toy car. He passed away today at the age of 7 after a vicious battle with Osteosarcoma. I never knew or met him, but his heart, courage and struggle have touched me deeply as I have learned about his joy for life.
My sister worked with him while he was in the PICU. She states: "Osteosarcoma took his body, but never his heart."
I know any thoughts and/or prayers you send out would be so needed and appreciated by him and his family.

Only a strong love could make Pepper share his sunflower seeds. In this, Speedy Red was fortunate, for Pepper had loved her for a long time.
This is my first foray into gouche other than that super-painful intro-to-color-course I took when I was 18. . . Or rather, the class I thought was super-painful but in which I learned so damn much.
